Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League match against Everton tomorrow evening.
Last time out, Lawrenson incorrectly predicted that Tottenham would beat Southampton 2-0, when in fact, they threw away a 3-1 advantage in the second half to end up drawing the match 3-3.
Antonio Conte‘s fiery post-match comments proved to be his last for the club, having sealed his exit from north London during the international break to be replaced by his trusty assistant Cristian Stellini for the remaining ten top flight fixtures.
Stellini has a battle on his hands to steer Tottenham back into the top four this season with a number of players currently on the sidelines through injury,
Everton have looked a different side following the arrival of Sean Dyche, with the former Burnley boss having made the Toffees more solid at the back as they look to retain their Premier League status
Lawrenson told Paddy Power: “Cristian Stellini’s done a great job stepping in for Antonio Conte until they went and lost to Sheffield United in the FA Cup.
“Conte’s wanted to go for ages, that was obvious. It was one of the world’s worst-kept secrets. He did what he did in that press conference knowing that they’d have to sack him. You just don’t know what Tottenham are going to turn up.
“It’s a big game for Everton, I think they’ll be into them. Goodison, when the supporters know they need a win, is a real difficult place to go.
“Everton 1-1 Tottenham.”

Goodison Park under the lights on a Monday night against a side battling against relegation is always going to be a difficult match.
Spurs have to dig in and show they are up for the fight of retaining their place in the top four come the end of the season.
Conceding goals has been a big problem for Spurs this season and they need to take the game to Everton and hope an early goal will since the home crowd.
