Football Insider have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are set to sound out recently departed Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers, who Daniel Levy has reportedly tried to bring to the North London club for many years.
The report reveals that Spurs are carrying out ‘an exhaustive managerial process’ as they look to finalise who replaces Antonio Conte at the helm.

Julian Nagelsmann remains the club’s top choice but it is said that the German might have his eye on a club better placed for success, with the availability of the Chelsea job potentially throwing a major spanner in the works on Tottenham’s plans of attracting the German.
It is explained that Spurs could thus be forced to consider other targets, with Rodgers named as one of the names on their wishlist.
The report states that Daniel Levy has been a ‘long time admirer’ of the Northern Irishman, having first tried to appoint him as Harry Redknapp’s replacement back in 2012.
Rodgers, who was then at Swansea City, was said to be keen on the job until Liverpool came calling for him at the time.
Football Insider add that the 50-year-old is now seen as a ‘much more viable’ option for Spurs since the club would no longer have to pay Leicester a huge compensation.

One bad season does not necessarily make Rodgers a bad manager but his career seems to be on a downward trajectory at the moment, which would put off Spurs.
His arrival would also not excite the fan base or convince the likes of Harry Kane of the club’s ambition.
