Football.London have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are expected to sign a goalkeeper, a centre-back, an attacking midfielder and a forward during the summer transfer window.
While there is still no clarity on who Spurs’ next head coach will be, the club are already planning on a busy summer in terms of new signings, according to the report.
Football.London state that signing a long-term successor for Hugo Lloris is one of the club’s main priorities on the back of the Frenchman’s high-profile errors this season.
Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, Brentford’s David Raya, Brighton stopper Robert Sanchez and AC Milan’s Mike Maignan are said to be the four names at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist.
The report states that Spurs are likely to strengthen at centre-back even though wholesale changes in the area may not be possible in one transfer window.
A creative midfielder is also thought to be Tottenham’s agent as the club believe it would add more tactical flexibility to the squad.
Finally, Football.London add that Spurs are also likely to sign reinforcements upfront as Lucas Moura is set to depart while Arnaut Danjuma will return to Villarreal at the end of his loan spell.
Spurs Web Opinion
These four are the obvious positions to address this summer but I do not think the club will make definitive plans on which players to pursue or how much of the budget to allocate for each position until they have confirmed a new head coach.
