Bild journalist Christian Falk has revealed that rumoured Tottenham target, Dani Olmo, would prefer to join Barcelona this summer.
Olmo has endured a frustrating season so far, having missed significant chunks of the 2022-23 campaign due to multiple injuries.
The attacking midfielder’s future at RB Leipzig is up in the air as he is about the enter the final year of his contract this June (Transfermarkt).
SportBILD (12/04/23 as relayed by Sport Witness) revealed last week that Tottenham had reached out to Leipzig regarding a summer deal for the Spaniard.
The report added that the 24-yer-old is ‘leaning more and more’ towards a move away from the Bundesliga club and is ‘considering’ enquiries’ from Premier League clubs.
However, Sky Sports Germany revealed a couple of days ago that Leipzig have not given up hope of tying Olmo down to a new contract.
The publication claimed that the Bundesliga club would make one final offer to the player and if he refuses to sign, they would sell him for around €30m (£26.4m) this summer.
Falk has now said that while the Leipzig star would prefer to move to Catalonia, he is open to a switch to England as well.
The journalist told CaughtOffside about Olmo: “The Spaniard would like to join FC Barcelona. But is not averse to a move to England.
“Manchester United are also among those interested whilst Leipzig are struggling to renew Olmo’s contract.”

Given the financial mess Barcelona currently find themselves mired in, Olmo might not get his wish of moving to the La Liga giants.
I expect the race for the 24-year-old’s signature to heat up if he does not sign a new contract at Leipzig as £25m would be a bargain for an attacker of his quality.
