The print edition of Corriere della Sera (05/05/23 as relayed by Sport Witness) has now suggested that Napoli are likely to decide against signing Tanguy Ndombele permanently as they find Spurs’ demands for the midfielder to be excessive.
Napoli made history by winning the Scudetto after 33 years over the weekend, and although Ndombele has not been a regular starter for the club, the Frenchman has played a valuable part in the club’s march to the title.

Luciano Spalletti has used the on-loan Tottenham man primarily as an impact substitute, and Corriere della Sera have now suggested that the midfielder has proved ‘reliable’ and provided a ‘strong physical presence’ in the middle of the park when called upon.
The outlet adds that Ndombele has ‘generally been good’ this season and has served as a ‘convenient replacement’ in midfield when some of the starters needed a rest.
However, it is suggested that the Serie A club are not likely to snap up the former Lyon man permanently due to Tottenham’s ‘crazy demands’, with the €30m (£26.1m) price tag deemed to be too excessive.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is clear that Napoli are not going to activate the £26m option to buy Ndombele permanently but Tottenham would likely be willing to bring down their asking price if the Serie A club express an interest in singing the Frenchman.
It also remains to be seen if the 26-year-old would want to move to Naples, given that he has struggled to get starts this season.
