According to a report on TuttoJuve (10/06/23 as relayed by Sport Witness), Tottenham Hotspur are ‘dreaming of signing’ Nicolo Zaniolo and are willing to present a bigger offer to the winger than either Juventus or AC Milan.

Zaniolo was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham during the January transfer window (90 min) but the 23-year-old ended up completing a move to Galatasaray for a fee of £19.5m, with his contract at the Turkish club thought to have a release clause of €35m (Fabrizio Romano).

We covered a report from Turkish outlet Milliyet earlier this month which claimed that Spurs had submitted an ‘attractive offer’ for the player and that Galatasaray vice-president Erden Timur had even made a trip to London to discuss the former Roma man with the Spurs hierarchy.

Spurs are still looking at Nicolo Zaniolo

TuttoJuve have now said that Zaniolo’s €35m (£30m) release clause has made him a sought-after player ahead of the summer transfer window.

The publication claims that the Italy international has ‘serious chances’ of returning to the Serie A, with Juventus and AC Milan said to be following him.

However, the outlet adds that the ‘bigger offers’ for the player have come from England, with Tottenham and Aston Villa said to be ‘dreaming of signing him’.

Spurs Web Opinion

Zaniolo seemed to be an Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici target.

With neither being at Tottenham any longer, I do not expect the North London club to follow through on their interest in the 23-year-old. Besides, the winger has certainly not set the world alight since his move to Turkey.
