According to The Sunday Mirror – 11/06 Page 70, Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for FC Seoul winger Kang Seong-jin this summer.

Although Kang has found the back of the net just three times in 57 appearances since breaking into FC Seoul’s starting lineup back in 2021, the winger is seen as one of the rising stars of Korean football, with The Sunday Mirror revealing that he is even referred to as ‘Little Son‘.

The report states that the 20-year-old is already attracting interest from Europe, with Tottenham and Celtic both said to be keen on the player.

Spurs could step up pursuit of Kang Seong-jin

The publication adds even though the Glasgow giants have expressed an interest in Kang, Spurs could now step up their interest in the South Korean international following the appointment of Ange Postecoglou.

If the FC Seoul youngster does make the move to Tottenham, he will get an opportunity to link up with his national team skipper and the country’s biggest football star, Son Heung-min.

Postecoglou is known for his expertise in the Asian market, having competed in the AFC Champions League during his time in Japan as well as Australia.

If it is true that Kang is also on Celtic’s radar, then that leaves no doubt that the 20-year-old is someone that Postecoglou has personally recommended.
