Tottenham have confirmed their first permanent signing of the summer as Dejan Kulusevski’s loan move becomes a transfer from Juventus.
Fabrizio Romano reported recently that Spurs had managed to negotiate a discount down from €35m to just €30m for the Juventus winger this summer. Kulusevski joins on a contract that runs until 2028.

Tottenham announce Kulusevski on permanent deal
This came after Gazzetta dello Sport (June 15) claimed that Juve were continuing to insist that Tottenham pay the full €35m (£30m) clause to sign the winger.
However, the publication stated that Spurs had so far only made an offer of €25m (£21.4), which the Old Lady were not willing to accept.
It appears that the two parties were able to find some middle ground, and Spurs have secured the services of Kulusevski on a long-term deal, and for less money than expected.

How Tottenham managed to get a discount on this, I will never know. Perhaps they offered to pay the amount over a shorter period of time, because Kulusevski looks to already be worth a lot more than around £25m. Fantastic business for Spurs, but it needs to be just the start of a big window.
