Sport have revealed that Clement Lenglet has agreed on a three-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of a potential switch from Barcelona to the North London club.
The report states that out of all of Barca’s deadwood, Lenglet’s departure is ‘the most advanced’ at the moment, with the Catalan club said to be working to resolve everything over the ‘coming days’.
It is explained that the first step in the transfer is already completed since the centre-back has reached an agreement in principle with Spurs on personal terms.
The transfer now depends on an agreement on a fee between Barcelona and Tottenham, with the two clubs alleged to have been in discussions regarding the same over the last few days.
Lenglet wants to move back to Spurs this summer
It is claimed that the Lilywhites do not want to pay a big fee while the Catalan giants are ‘pressing’ even though they know that they cannot ‘tighten the rope too much’, given Lenglet’s desire to move to Tottenham.
Sport adds that the figure being mentioned at the moment is €10m (£8.6m) and while there is no agreement so far, there is willingness from all parties for a deal to be struck.

It sounds like Tottenham are planning to bring in an up-and-coming player for the left-sided centre-back role such as Edmond Tapsoba and sign Lenglet as cover for that position.
The Frenchman’s arrival could potentially increase the chances of Dier departing Spurs this summer as the North London club would likely also sign a centre-back for the right side to compete with Romero.
