Milliyet and Fotomac are reporting that Fenerbahce are interested in signing Ivan Perisic but both publications state that the Turkish giants do not want to pay a fee for the wing-back.
It looks like Perisic is likely to depart the North Londoners just a year after arriving at the club, with the Croat seemingly not a natural fit for Ange Postecoglou, who prefers to set his teams up in a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1 system.
Fenerbahce want Perisic but only on a free transfer
Milliyet have now stated that the 34-year-old does not look likely to remain at Spurs, which is why he has been offered to Fenerbahce.
The outlet claims that the Turkish side have reached out to Perisic’s entourage but they have made it clear that they do not intend to pay a transfer fee for him.
This claim has also been backed up by Fotomac, who state that Fenerbahce are looking to get the former Inter Milan man out of Tottenham but ‘without a transfer fee’.
The report states that the club would ‘welcome’ the former Inter Milan star’s arrival but a final decision is only likely to be made after they appoint a new manager.
Spurs Web Opinion
Spurs would likely not be looking for a big transfer fee for Perisic, given his age and the fact that he has just one year left on his contract.
However, I am also not sure if the Lilywhites would agree to terminate his contract and allow him to leave on a free.
