Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has said that Tottenham Hotspur have denied receiving any offer from Bayern Munich from Harry Kane.
A whole host of reputable sources, including The Athletic’s David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano, reported on Wednesday that Bayern had made an opening offer for Kane worth £60m plus add-ons which had been turned down by Tottenham.
Over the last few days, some sources (including Ben Jacobs) have said that the Bavarians are expected to test Daniel Levy’s resolve with an improved second offer for the England captain.
Meanwhile, The Evening Standard claimed on Thursday that Bayern are willing to bid as high as €100m (£86m) for Kane while Tottenham want ‘at least £100m’ to sell their talisman.
The outlet added that the 29-year-old is ready to move to the Allianz Arena in search of silverware should the two clubs agree on a transfer fee.
Tottenham deny receiving any offer for Harry Kane
Bridge has now revealed that he has been informed by the North London club that no offer has arrived for Kane.
The journalist told GiveMeSport: “Sky Sports in Germany reported that Tottenham rejected an offer of £60million plus add-ons for Harry Kane.
“Tottenham have told me that they received no official bid but, of course, I’m never going to discredit top operators like David Ornstein, Fabrizio Romano or anyone who have reported of there being a bid.”
Spurs Web Opinion
While Spurs might deny any offer, it is clear that Bayern have launched a bid and it is also apparent that the Bundesliga club have been encouraged by Kane’s entourage to make offers.
It remains to be seen at what kind of price Levy would seriously consider a sale.
