Bayern Munich have submitted their latest offer to Tottenham Hotspur as part of their attempt to sign Harry Kane this summer, according to Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Bundesliga giants have already had a bid of €70m (£59.6m) plus add-ons rejected by Tottenham and have today returned with an improved offer of €80m (£68.1m) in order to try to persuade the North Londoners to part company with the club record scorer.
Plettenberg has claimed that Kane ‘definitely’ wants to make the move to the Allianz Arena this summer with the striker yet to win a competitive piece of silverware during his time at Tottenham.
Will Spurs sell Harry Kane to Bayern Munich?
The Daily Mail claimed yesterday that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to be convinced to sell Kane for around £70million and remain insistent that they do not wish to part company with the England captain.
Bayern are looking to finally bring in a replacement for Robert Lewandowski who left to join Barcelona last summer with Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel having made Kane his number one transfer target
Plettenberg wrote on Twitter: “Understand FC Bayern has submitted a second offer now!
” New offer: €80m + add-ons! First offer (€70m + add-ons) was rejected. Harry Kane, he definitely wants to join FC Bayern now!”

While Tottenham are putting all their eggs in the basket of somehow persuading Harry Kane to stay at Tottenham, they are also risking the possibility of the forward moving to Chelsea or Manchester United on a free transfer next summer.
Would a move to Bayern Munich to mitigate the chance of Kane not lining up to face Spurs in the Premier League next season be the lesser of the two evils?
