La Liga outfit Real Betis are keen to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential deal for Giovani Lo Celso, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 27-year-old has previously played for Betis, having made 46 appearances for the Andalusian-based outfit on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 which proved to be a hit with the midfielder scoring 16 goals across all competitions and providing 6 assists (transfermarkt).
AS have previously revealed that Betis are keen on Lo Celso, however, the Spanish news outlet claimed would struggle to afford him due to their current financial situation.

Real Betis want Spurs talks for Giovani Lo Celso
Romano has claimed that Betis have already made an approach to Tottenham to declare their interest in the Argentine international and wish to discuss a move, while there is also interest from two or three other unnamed clubs.
He wrote on Twitter: “Understand Tottenham have been approached also by Real Betis for Giovani Lo Celso.
“There are 2/3 clubs in the race for Lo Celso but Betis are keen on opening talks in the next weeks, Spurs are aware of that.”

Lo Celso is set to return to Hotspur Way this week following his involvement with Argentina and is currently under contract in North London until the summer of 2025 (transfermarkt).
We exclusively revealed last month that Lo Celso had no issue in returning to Tottenham ahead of next season despite reports suggesting the player was not interested in heading back to N17 (Matt Law / Last Word on Spurs).
Lo Celso has spent the last 18 months at Villarreal in two separate loan spells after struggling to make an impact in the Premier League during his time at Tottenham.
