Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Betis have now begun working on the operation to sign Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
The writing seems to be on the wall for Lo Celso at Spurs this summer if recent reports are to be believed, with Matteo Moretto stating on Wednesday that the midfielder will not be at the North London club next season.
He explained that while there are no advanced negotiations for the player so far, Real Betis, Aston Villa and Napoli have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile, we also recently relayed a report from Estadio Deportivo which claimed that Lo Celso’s name had been discussed by the Betis hierarchy and that the club had informed Tottenham of their intention to make an offer for the Argentine over the ‘coming weeks’.
Beits have now begun work on the Lo Celso deal
Romano has now become the latest journalist to confirm Betis’ interest in Lo Celso, asserting that the La Liga side have already started working on the operation to bring the Spurs player to the Benito Villamarin Stadium.
However, the Italian added that many other clubs also remain in the race for the versatile midfielder.
Real Betis keep working on Gio Lo Celso option for next weeks with many clubs in the race, while Alex Collado and Hector Bellerín deals are 100% agreed.

Spurs Web Opinion
It seems quite likely that Lo Celso would be one of the next ones to go, with the midfielder evidently attracting plenty of interest. He will have a chance to put himself in the shop window in Australia.
