The Sun have claimed that Tottenham target Harry Maguire is ready to quit Manchester United as he is furious with Erik Ten Hag for stripping him of the captaincy.
Multiple reports over the last couple of months have indicated that Spurs are set to make wholesale changes at centre-back ahead of Ange Postecoglou’s first season in charge (Football.London).
Some publications have reported over recent weeks that Spurs have held talks with Man Utd over a deal for Maguire but it has also been suggested that the player’s £189,904 per week salary might be a stumbling block in any potential deal (London World).

Maguire now desperate to leave Man United
If The Sun’s latest update is to be believed, the former Leicester City man is now keen to leave Old Trafford as he is ‘angry, shocked and upset’ at Ten Hag’s decision to take the captaincy armband off him.
The report adds that the 30-year-old now knows his time at the Manchester club is over.
However, it is explained that Spurs could face plenty of competition for Maguire, with West Ham and Newcastle keen on him, while Chelsea are also considering entering the race for the England international.
Spurs Web Opinion
If Maguire is desperate to leave Man Utd, perhaps he would be open to taking a wage cut to seal a move away.
That is the only way I can see Spurs pursuing a deal for the 30-year-old as the North London club would not consider making the centre-back one of the highest-paid players at the club.
