Journalist Dean Jones has said that Tottenham Hotspur would be willing to let Harry Kane leave the club this summer if Bayern Munich offer £120m for the striker.

The Kane saga continues to rumble on, much to the frustration of Spurs fans, as well as Ange Postecoglou, with the Australian admitting a couple of days ago that he is not relaxed about the situation, adding that clarity is needed as soon as possible for everyone involved (Football.London).

Sources in Germany seem convinced that the England captain is on his way to the Bavarian club, with Bild Sport claiming on Saturday that the deal is now ‘getting closer’.

The publication revealed that Kane’s wife, Kate, had even travelled to the country over the last few days to view housing options in Grunwald, which is just 12km outside of Munich.

It would take a huge £120m bid for Levy to budge

However, Jones believes that unless the Bundesliga champions bid £120m (including add-ons) for the 29-year-old, he will stay put in N17.

The journalist told GiveMeSport about the Kane situation: “The number is £120m if Bayern want to buy Harry Kane. I’ve been told that a couple of times now, by very good sources. If they get to that number, they basically get him.

“The official stance on this is that Harry Kane is not for sale, and it doesn’t matter who comes in for him, Tottenham do not want to listen to offers.

“But these contacts I talk to are well-informed, and they are pretty clear on the fact that if an offer comes in at £120m, Kane will be allowed to go.

“Whether that could be £100m plus £20m in add-ons or £90m plus £30m in add-ons, setting it up in the modern-day view of transfers, I don’t know.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe that Levy would be willing to do business for considerably less than £120m.

In fact, I believe that the Tottenham chairman would find it difficult to turn down an offer of £90m plus £10m in relatively easy add-ons as Kane does not seem likely to put pen to paper on a new deal.
