Italian football agent Giulio Tedeschi has said that Tottenham could be eyeing Arthur Cabral as a potential replacement for Harry Kane but he added that the Fiorentina star might be just one of many names on the Premier League club’s wishlist.

The speculation linking Kane with a move with Bayern Munich continues to intensify, with multiple outlets now asserting that Tottenham will cash in on the striker this summer if he does not sign a new contract (Daily Mail).

Goal Brasil asserted a couple of days ago that Spurs will turn their attention to Cabral if they lose the England captain, claiming that the North London club had already reached out to Fiorentina to enquire about the Brazilian’s availability.

The report added that the 25-year-old, who found the back of the net 17 times across all competitions last season, is valued by the Viola at around €40m (£34.6m), and suggested that Spurs had even already spoken to the player’s representatives about a potential transfer.

Tedeschi believes that a move by Tottenham by Cabral could be on the cards if Kane does move to Bavaria over the coming weeks.

When asked if there is any truth to the speculation linking the Fiorentina star with a move to Spurs, the Italian agent told Firenzeviola: “There is a waltz of the strikers. If Kane were to leave, he would leave a chasm that is difficult to fill and I think it all depends on him. 

“Every year there are reports and then he stays. However, Bayern Munich are getting serious about the English striker. Cabral has different characteristics, but he’s not the only name on the list. It can be a gamble.”

When asked how much the Lilywhites would be willing to pay for Cabral, Tedeschi said: “His contract expires in 2023 and this is a guarantee for Viola.

“For me, he is a player who can have a valuation close to 40 million euros, even with certain bonuses. If this were true of this interest, I would try to ask for as much as possible”.

Just because Spurs enquired about Cabral, does not mean that a move for the Fiorentina player is imminent.

The Brazilian is likely one of many centre-forwards that Tottenham have identified as potential replacements for Kane, whose departure from N17 now looks increasingly more likely.
