Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players following the opening forty-five minutes of action against Barcelona in this evening’s Joan Gamper Trophy match.
Ange Postecoglou’s side head into the break against their opponents currently 2-1 ahead courtesy of Oliver Skipp’s brace.
Guglielmo Vicario: Will be frustrated to have conceded so early on, denied Lewandowski a second on 18 minutes. Had to make a recovery save to keep out Raphinha’s shot having headed the ball in the path of the former Leeds player. 6.
Pedro Porro: Should have been tighter to Lewandowski for the opening goal, a trait of his game which happens time and time again. 5.
Eric Dier: Captaining the side this evening, had a nervy opening fifteen minutes and it has helped with Spurs taking the game to Barca. 5.
Davinson Sanchez: Allowed Raphinha back inside to deliver the cross for Lewandowski’s goal. Made a good recovery tackle on the half hour where he just got enough of a toe to the ball. 5.
Sergio Reguilon: A good delivery into Lo Celso for Tottenham’s opening goal. 6.
Oliver Skipp: Levelled the score with a composed finish and his second goal was a brilliant run to get in from of de Jong to power his header home. 8.
Yves Bissouma: Made a vital challenge on De Jong close to the Spurs penalty area. Booked on 25 minutes after a series of challenges. 7.
Giovani Lo Celso: Will feel unlucky not to have found the back of the net when his shot come back off the post. 7.
Manor Solomon: Fired wide from eight yards out after appeals for handball from inside the Barcelona area. Had a late opportunity but could only fire his shot straight at the keeper. 7.
Richarlison: Has had little opportunity to threaten the goal, his best involvement came when he played in Solomon five minutes before half time. 6.
Ivan Perisic: Played a lovely reverse pass into the path of Reguilon to set up the phase of play which led to Skipp’s opener. His delivery for Skipp’s second was inch-perfect. 8.
