Whether Harry Kane will leave Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich this summer still remains to be seen, but journalist Kerry Hau claims the deal is all prepared and ready to go ahead before the weekend.
The speculation regarding Harry Kane has been a dark cloud looming over Tottenham all summer, with Bayern Munich pursuing the England captain throughout the current transfer window.
With just under 12 months remaining on his contract with Spurs, the club has been weighing up the idea of cashing in on their talismanic striker, or gambling on the hope he might sign a new deal rather than leave for nothing next year.
It had appeared Bayern’s efforts would be in vain, with a number of bids rejected by Daniel Levy and Spurs. However, it was reported earlier today that Tottenham had accepted an offer of around £86m for their prized asset (The Athletic).
Despite widespread belief that Kane had already agreed personal terms with Bayern, new information today suggested the 30-year-old was now more likely to stay at Tottenham, regardless of the fact an offer had been accepted (Sky Sports News).
Kane to Bayern transfer is ready to go
The fact the transfer hasn’t gone ahead yet should not be a concern for Bayern fans, however, as according to Kerry Hau, the deal is right on track to be completed before the weekend.
Hau tweeted: “For FC Bayern it was clear from the start: without the clear will and firm commitment of Harry Kane, there would be no negotiations with Daniel Levy.
“Those responsible have kept in touch with the Kane side around father Pat and brother Charlie over the past few weeks and never had the feeling that the player could change his mind.
“As of now, there is still no final go from Kane, but those responsible remain confident that the transfer will take place before the weekend. Everything is prepared.”
Spurs Web Opinion
It is hard to know what to believe right now, and the only person who truly knows what the outcome will be is Harry Kane himself. Us Spurs fans must now wait patiently to find out if we will ever see our greatest-ever goalscorer in the white of Tottenham ever again.
