According to Ben Jacobs, Bayern Munich have offered a five-year contract to Harry Kane after agreeing a fee with Tottenham over the striker’s transfer.

The negotiations between Tottenham and Bayern over Kane had dragged on right from the start of the transfer window and it has now seemingly reached a conclusion, but not the one Spurs fans were hoping for.

Multiple journalists, including The Athletic’s David Ornstein, have reported over the last hour that the German club’s latest offer had been accepted by Spurs.

According to The Independent, the fee agreed will see Spurs get £80m upfront and the total value of the deal could rise to £110m if some performance-related add-ons are met.

Harry Kane would be offered a long stay at Bayern

However, both the aforementioned sources confirmed that Kane was leaning towards staying at Tottenham and will now have to have to make a decision on whether he actually wants to move to the Bavarian giants.

Jacobs has now also taken to social media to confirm that the decision now solely rests with the 30-year-old. The journalist also revealed that the centre-forward has been handed a contract that runs until 2028 at the Allianz Stadium.

However, Florian Plettenberg admits that Kane is now hesitating over whether to jump ship just days before the season starts, and the move to Bayern is said to be 50:50.

Spurs Web Opinion

It was pretty well documented earlier in the summer that Kane was keen on making a move to Bayern, with some sources even claiming that the striker had already agreed personal terms with the German giants,

However, there is a small possibility that his mind might have changed since then, given the delay in the negotiations and the fact that he now has a small taste of what football under Postecoglou will look like.
