The print edition of Mundo Deportivo (08/08/23 – as relayed by Sport Witness) has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have submitted an offer of €10m (£8.6m) including add-ons for Clement Lenglet.
The report backs up what we have already heard over recent days about Juventus also entering the race for Lenglet’s signature, with the Serie A giants said to be trying to sign the Frenchman on a loan deal with an option to buy.

However, the outlet claims that the centre-back is still hoping to return to Tottenham on the back of his loan spell in North London last season.
It is alleged that Spurs and Barca hope to continue talks over the 28-year-old, with the Catalan club keen to get the player off their wage bill at all costs.
Barcelona not happy with Tottenham offer
Mundo Deportivo add that Tottenham have offered an initial €5m (£4.3m) for Lenglet with a potential further €5m in add-ons, which does not satisfy Barca.
The publication also states that the La Liga giants are worried that Spurs are now ‘stalling’ on the deal and the next few days could be ‘decisive’ in determining the former Sevilla star’s future.

It does not appear as if there has been any movement on this transfer since the start of the window, with neither Tottenham nor Barca willing to compromise on their stance. The La Liga club will likely be the first ones to blink, given their desperation to trim their wage bill.
