Sources close to Giovani Lo Celso have informed The Spurs Web that reports claiming the Argentine is unhappy with Ange Postecoglou are false. 

Estadio Deportivo reported this week that Giovani Lo Celso is unhappy at being overlooked by Ange Postecoglou for the first two matches of the season, despite performing well in pre-season.

Postecoglou himself even stated this summer that he likes Lo Celso and believes he is a good fit for his three-man midfield system (Football. London).

The Times confirmed last week that the Argentine is ‘likely’ to remain at Spurs for the upcoming season, with Spurs not having an abundance of creative midfielders. 

Reports that Lo Celso is unhappy at Spurs are false

Estadio Deportivo reported that despite Spurs’ openness to selling Lo Celso at the start of the summer, the Argentine won over Postecoglou in pre-season, with the Australian alleged to have asked him to remain at the club.

However, fast forward to late August and Lo Celso was said to be ‘not happy at all’ that he did not get a single minute of action in Tottenham’s opening two games of the season against Brentford and Manchester United, particularly after Postecoglou promised that he would ‘count on him’.

The Spurs Web have been informed by sources close to Lo Celso himself that such reports are completely false, and the midfielder remains happy in North London under Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs Web Opinion 

I was not surprised to hear that these reports were false. Lo Celso will likely see this as a great opportunity to finally make a name for himself at Tottenham.

Spurs only have two creative midfielders in Lo Celso and Maddison, while there are also positions up for grabs in the two pivot roles and wide right. I expect to see Giovani force his way into the side at some point, particularly if Maddison is indeed injured.
