After netting a hat-trick against Burnley, Son Heung-min admitted that he has enjoyed every minute of working with Ange Postecoglou so far and remarked that he is learning a lot from the Australian.

Tottenham seemed to be in complete turmoil just a couple of months ago but Postecoglou has transformed the mood around the club in a short space of time.

That is not only down to the results the team has picked up but also due to the way they are approaching matches, with Spurs fans overjoyed to see the side play on the front foot again after watching them adopt a negative approach over the last three years.

The players are also seeming to enjoy working for the Australian, rediscovering that sense of comradery we saw during the peak years under Mauricio Pochettino.

Son, who has been handed the captain’s armband by Postecoglou, has now said that the 58-year-old is not only helping him develop as a player but is also making him a better human being.

Heung-min Son has a lot to say about Postecoglou

The South Korean told Optus Sport about the new Tottenham boss: “Look, I’m so grateful that I’m working with him. And I learned so many things as a player, but also as a human being.

“And it’s been a fantastic journey until now, but I think in the future, I think we will have more fun working together so I will do everything he asks because he’s giving so much good information to us as a human, as a manager.

“So we are very, very happy working with him. And hopefully, he’s happy to have this group of players. But I think players should take more responsibility to make him happy.”

Spurs Web Opinion

The way that Son speaks about Ange reminds me of the way the Spurs player used to talk about Pochettino, with the Argentine very much helping players become well-rounded individuals rather than just good footballers.

This is certainly not something that many would have said about Mourinho and Conte, who were evidently very results-orientated and had a confrontational leadership style, which seemed to create quite a few rifts within the changing room.
