The print edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) have suggested that Juventus view Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as a ‘quick fix’ for their problems in the middle of the park.
The report states that the Serie A giants are keen to make a couple of signings in January to ‘raise their level’, with Hojbjerg being one of the names on their wishlist.
The Spurs man is one of a ‘couple of coups’ that the Old Lady are trying to score in the winter transfer window following the suspensions of Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.

Hojbjerg is seen as a Juventus midfield quick-fix
The outlet adds that the 28-year-old is among ‘different options’ that Juve are looking at but he is seen as one of the quick fixes available on the market.
Finally, the report also points out that Hojbjerg played 90 minutes for Tottenham in their win over Fulham on Monday night, which is why it might not be straightforward to convince Spurs to part ways with the player when the transfer window reopens.

Based on the recent updates from Italy, it very much sounds like Juve are lining up several different midfield targets rather than putting all their eggs in the Hojbjerg basket.
I still feel that the Dane is more likely to end up at Atletico Madrid rather than Turin as the La Liga side are more likely to meet Spurs’ asking price.
