Turkish outlet Sporx have hailed Davinson Sanchez as the signing of the season so far for Galatasaray after his move from Tottenham Hotspur.
Over the last couple of days, we have relayed several reports from Turkey discussing Tanguy Ndombele’s struggles at Galatasaray.
In fact, Fotospor even claimed on Tuesday that the Turkish club’s manager Okan Buruk has lost patience with the midfielder due to his lack of professionalism as the Frenchman is still considerably overweight.
In stark contrast, Sanchez has hit the ground running since his switch to Istanbul and has become an indispensable part of their backline.

Davinson Sanchez is a big hit in Turkey
In fact, Sporx have now even suggested that the 27-year-old is Galatasaray’s signing of the season so far, which is major praise, considering the number of new players that arrived through the door at the club this summer.
The report states that the former Spurs man has not only been dominant in duals and aerially but has also helped the side play out from the back, which might come as a surprise to Tottenham fans, given his shortcomings in possession during his time in North London.
The outlet also adds that Sanchez is happy to now feel like a key part of an important project at Galatasaray.

Despite Sanchez’s shortcomings as a player, he was very much a team player during his time at Tottenham and always gave everything for the shirt. So, I am over the moon to hear that things are going well for the 27-year-old in Turkey after a difficult final couple of years at Spurs.
