Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are only interested in signing Al-Ittihad winger Jota on a loan deal.
Over the last couple of weeks, we have relayed plenty of reports which have talked up the chances of Jota potentially reuniting with Ange Postecoglou at Spurs.
This includes an update from TEAMtalk which suggested that Spurs are now in pole position to snap up the winger after he was frozen out of the set-up at Al-Ittihad due to the club being over the limit of foreign players allowed.
It was explained that agents representing the Portuguese star are working hard to find their client a new club and that they have been seen at a number of Tottenham’s games this season.

Spurs only want to sign Jota on a loan deal
Football Insider have confirmed that Spurs are indeed keeping tabs on Jota, with Ange Postecoglou alleged to remain a big fan of the player.
However, the publication asserts that the North London club are only exploring a loan deal for the Portuguese star in January.
This is thought to be due to the massive £200,000 per week that the attacker currently earns in Saudi Arabia, which Spurs are not thought to be willing to match.
Spurs Web Opinion
Jota has not shown anything at the highest level to suggest that Tottenham should make him their highest-paid player. Spurs should absolutely not consider signing the 24-year-old permanently unless he is willing to take a salary cut.
