Football Insider have claimed that Fabio Paratici remains heavily involved in Tottenham’s recruitment despite leaving the club seven months ago.
Paratici resigned from his role as managing director of football back in April following a worldwide 30-month ban from football after he was convicted by the Italian FA of financial malpractice during his time at Juventus.
Since then, Spurs’ recruitment structure has changed completely, with Scott Munn joining as the chief footballer office, Johan Lange as the club’s sporting director (Matt Law) and Rob Mackenzie as the new chief scout (Football.London).
Paratici has been spotted in the director’s box at many of Spurs’ fixtures so far, including in the London derby against Chelsea on Monday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Daily Mail).

Paratici continues to play a prominent role at Spurs
Football Insider claim they have now learned from a well-placed source that the Italian is still ‘pulling all the strings’ in the Spurs recruitment department.
It is alleged that Paratici continues to work as a consultant for the club due to his ‘outstanding’ recruitment record over the last two years.
The outlet adds that the 51-year-old’s connections are valued by the Tottenham hierarchy and that he has earned the trust of Daniel Levy.

It is clear that Paratici played a key role in Tottenham’s summer recruitment drive, working in a consultancy role. However, now that Lange is in place, I doubt the Italian would have a prominent role in any recruitment decisions any longer.
