According to talkSPORT, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to battle the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United for Fluminense starlet Andre Trindade.
The midfielder, known simply as Andre, has been exceptional in the Brasileiro Serie A over the last couple of years and has already been capped twice by the Selecao.
Tottenham’s interest in the 22-year-old came to light a little over a week ago when Lance claimed that the North London club sent scouts to watch the youngster in action in the Copa Libertadores final, where Fluminense beat Boca Juniors 2-1.
It was subsequently reported by Globo Esporte that the Brazilian club expect Andre to leave in January, with the midfielder alleged to be valued at €35m (£30.3m).

Spurs face competition to sign Andre
It has now been asserted by talkSPORT that Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd were already tracking the midfielder, with Spurs now being the latest club to enter the race for his signature.
The outlet adds that should Tottenham win the race for the Fluminense star, only then will Ange Postecoglou give the green light for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to leave the club.
However, it is alleged that the Red Devils hold the upper hand in the race for Andre, with Erik Ten Hag’s men viewing the youngster as a direct replacement for Casemiro, who is being courted by Saudi Arabian clubs.

One would think that Tottenham would be able to make a persuasive case to Andre that his development would be best served under the watchful eyes of Ange Postecoglou, given the Aussie coach’s track record with young talent.
