Football Insider have revealed that Newcastle have entered the race for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar.
Guirassy has not been able to stop scoring since swapping Rennes for Stuttgart in January of this year. The centre-forward has found the back of the net a whopping 14 times in eight Bundesliga matches so far (Transfermarkt).
A little over a month ago, TEAMtalk claimed that Spurs are one of several sides across Europe monitoring the Guinea international closely ahead of January.
The 27-year-old, who is thought to have a release clause of €17.5m (£15.3m) in his contract, is allegedly also on the radars of Nottingham Forest and Fulham (Bild).

Newcastle and Spurs interested in Serhou Guirassy
According to Football Insider’s latest update, Tottenham now have even more competition to contend with for Guirassy’s signature, with the Magpies now entering the picture.
The report states that Eddie Howe’s man sees the Stuttgart star as an ‘attainable target’ and the player is ‘particularly attractive’ to the club due to his low release clause.
However, the outlet makes it clear that Guirassy is not the only striker that Newcastle are tracking, with the St James Park hierarchy said to be following several number nines across the continent.

Guirassy would certainly be a much more economical option for Tottenham than the likes of Santiago Gimenez, Ivan Toney and Dusan Vlahoivc but there is not much to indicate that the Stuttgart man is near the top of Postecoglou’s wishlist.
