Alan Hutton has said that Ange Posteocglou’s men will have quite a lot of challenges against Aston Villa without some of their key players, backing the Villans to emerge with a point from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Postecoglou’s honeymoon period at Spurs was brought to a sudden end just before the international break, with the Lilywhites falling to back-to-back losses against Chelsea and Wolves.

The Australian will once again be without several key players for the clash on Sunday, with the likes of James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Richarlison joining Ivan Perisic, Monor Solomon and Ryan Sessegnon on the treatment table recently.

Further, Cristian Romero also remains suspended for Sunday’s clash while Destiny Udogie remains doubtful as he continues to recover from a hamstring issue (Football.London).

Will Spurs be able to get a home win against Villa?

Unai Emery’s men are just a point behind the Lilywhites and could leapfrog them to fourth spot with a win in North London on Sunday. Hutton believes that the two clubs will play out a high-scoring draw.

The former Tottenham and Villa right-back told Football Insider: “Obviously with the suspensions and injuries, this going to be really difficult for Tottenham.

“Villa are on a good run of form even though their away form has not been as good. It’s going to be a difficult one. This will be close. I think it will be a draw. I’m edging towards Villa but probably a draw.

“There will definitely be goals. The way Villa play with a high line and with the people who are missing for Tottenham, that means there will be goals in it.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I would take a draw if you offered it right now. With Spurs likely to line up with a centre-back pairing of Eric Dier and Ben Davies once again, I fear that the pace of Ollie Watkins will really hurt us on Sunday.
