According to Fanatik, Galatasaray’s match against Adana Demirspor might have been Tanguy Ndombele’s last chance to convince the Turkish club to keep him beyond January.
Spurs Web has kept close track of the reports emanating from Turkey about Ndombele’s performances for the last few months, and things have not been going to plan for the Frenchman, who has struggled for game time since his summer switch.
Last week, the print edition of Milliyet (via Sport Witness) claimed that the 26-year-old’s recent performances against Alanyaspor and Manchester United were far from satisfactory.
It was claimed that on the back of those performances, Galatasaray had decided that the on-loan Tottenham man ‘cannot deliver expected results’, with the club looking to actively replace the player in January.
Ndombele was an unused substitute this week
Fanatik suggested that Ndombele might start the clash against Adana Demirspor due to the injuries that Okan Buruk’s men are dealing with in the middle of the park.
The report stated it would be ‘the last time’ that the former Lyon man would have a chance to impress, with the Istanbul club exploring the market for a number eight.
The outlet suggests that ‘a contract termination is on the agenda’ for Ndombele if he does not deliver a statement performance at RAMS Park.
However, the Frenchman did not start the game in the end and was not even used off the bench, perhaps signalling the beginning of the end once again for Tanguy Ndombele out on loan.
Spurs Web Opinion
I doubt if cranking up the pressure on Ndombele in this manner is the way to get the best out of him. It seems to be that the only chance you are going to have of getting satisfactory performances from the Frenchman is by putting an arm over his shoulder and making him feel valued.
