Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson blasted Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario over a ‘lack of respect’ following an altercation between the pair earlier this evening.
Wilson, who came off the bench during Newcastle’s 4-1 thrashing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium took offence to what he described as Vicario making facial taunts in his direction in the final moments of the Premier League clash in North London.
Tottenham, who came into the fixture without a victory in their last five top flight matches took the lead through Destiny Udogie, with Richarlison adding a brace and captain Heung-min Son rounding off the scoring from the penalty spot in front of the giant single-tier south stand.

Wilson unhappy with Vicario
After Vicario saved a headed attempt from the Newcastle forward shortly before the final whistle, he riled the England international after pulling a face at him.
When asked about what had happened, he told Sky Sports: “Yeah I mean there’s a way to win isn’t there,’ he said. ‘I think we’ve seen it in the week when Everton were winning and Pickford was messing around.
“The goalkeeper goes up for a header he starts pulling faces and messing around and It’s just a lack of respect I thought, I said my piece and we’re grown men and we move on.”

Wilson can hardly call out the behaviour of other professional footballers after both he and West Ham’s Michail Antonio had been so critical of Richarlison during an episode of The Footballer’s Football Podcast back in May.
The Brazilian proved his quality in front of Wilson in N17, while the Newcastle man should be more concerned about their own season fizzling out before Christmas.
