According to a report in The Sunday Mirror (10/12; page 67), Tottenham Hotspur are considering a sensational move for RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda.
Openda had a breakthrough season at Lens last season, setting Ligue 1 alight, which prompted Leipzig to pay €38m (£32.5m) plus add-ons to land him last summer.
The versatile forward, who can play across the front three, has hit the ground running at the Red Bull Arena, having scored 14 goals in 22 matches across all competitions so far.
The 23-year-old has been outstanding in the Champions League this season, with three of his four goals in the competition coming against Manchester City.

Tottenham eyeing move for Lois Openda
The Sunday Mirror have now asserted that Openda’s impressive displays have caught the attention of Tottenham, who are now considering bringing him to the Premier League, just six months on from his move to Leipzig.
The report reveals that Manchester United are also ‘big admirers’ of the Belgium international.
However, it is explained that Spurs might have to pay a club-record fee to land Openda, with Leipzig potentially set to demand as much as £75m for him next month.

Openda ticks a lot of boxes for Spurs as he is the sort of versatile attacker who will thrive in Postecoglou’s system.
The Australian will also fancy his chances of getting the best out of the 23-year-old, whose best years are evidently ahead of him. However, Leipzig can be difficult to negotiate with and are likely to demand a fortune for the striker.
