Tottenham Hotspur made it back-to-back wins in the Premier League this evening despite going down to ten men for the last 30 minutes of the match.

Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:

Tottenham Player Ratings vs Nottingham Forest

Guglielmo Vicario – 7.5 – A nervy moment in the first half when he decided to slap the ball away instead of catching it. However, after that, he was solid with the work he was given. That incredible save with his feet at 2-0 will be in his highlight reel come the end of the season!

Pedro Porro – 7 – A little sloppy this evening, but even on nights like that he has the odd moment of magic when he slips someone through in behind out of nowhere. Actually got better amidst the adversity of being down to ten men. Really rose to the challenge.

Cristian Romero – 8 – On another day, we might be complaining about Romero picking up a yellow and another ban. He got away with not getting booked at one point, in all honesty. But his actual gameplay was superb this evening. Cool and collected in the ball, with some superb defending.

Ben Davies – 9 – Up there for Man of the Match. The only way he could have done better is if he’d nodded that chance in from a corner. Every tackle, interception and headed clearance was perfect. He was also one of the more consistent defenders on the ball.

Destiny Udogie – 6 – A bit sloppy, like many of his teammates. Udogie will be suspended for the Everton game after picking up a silly yellow that reminds you of his age. Still, if that is one of his below-par performances then we have one incredible player on our hands.

Yves Bissouma – 2 – He had a sloppy game in general, giving the ball away in some silly positions. He then compounded things by getting his second red card of the season. Silly play by Bissouma. He will now have to sit out four matches for Tottenham, plus AFCON. Could really cost the team.

Pape Matar Sarr – 6 – Works so hard on and off the ball, it is always hard to criticise. That being said, he was the guiltiest party in the first half when it came to giving the ball away in awful positions. Improved a lot in the second half and got through a lot of running after the red card though.

Dejan Kulusevski – 9 – Assisted Richarlison’s goal with an inch-perfect cross into the box. Then scored just as Forest were clawing their way back into the game with a fierce shot on his right foot. Even with that aside, he still probably ran further than every player on the pitch too.

Brennan Johnson – 6 – Had a couple of bright runs but never quite got up to speed before that nasty head injury. Fingers crossed he is okay!

Richarlison – 8 – Wasn’t involved in the game a whole lot but was on the spot just when Spurs needed him to nod home Kulusevski’s cross. That’s what you want from your number nine. Could we see a goalscoring run from Richy now?

Heung-min Son – 6 – Struggled to have a consistent meaningful impact on the game out wide. Missed a big chance in the opening minutes. Forest doubled up on him a lot after that.

Substitutes:

Oliver Skipp – 6 – Looked a little lost in the attacking midfield role. Let’s be honest, it isn’t in his wheelhouse. He added a lot more after the red card with his non-stop pressing.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 6 – His ability to come off the bench and calm things down in tough scenarios is underrated. That being said, he may need to start next week.

Emerson Royal – N/A

Alejo Veliz – N/A
