According to a video on Calciomercato (as translated by Sport Witness), Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make a move for Radu Dragusin next month even though Genoa are reluctant to sell the player.

Dragusin, who had an outstanding season on loan at Genoa in Serie B last season, has seamlessly made the transition to the Italian top flight since making a permanent switch to the club six months ago.

Over the past couple of months, plenty of outlets have claimed that the 21-year-old’s displays at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris have caught the attention of Spurs (Football Transfers).

However, more recently, Tottenham’s interest in the centre-back seems to have intensified, with TEAMtalk claiming last week that Spurs are ready to step up their pursuit of the Romanian international, who is thought to be valued by the Serie A side at around £26m.

Tottenham are very interested in Radu Dragusin

CalcioMercato have now also reported on Tottenham’s pursuit of Dragusin, naming Ange Postecoglou’s side as one of the clubs who have ‘come forward with conviction’ for the former Juventus star.

However, the report states that the North London club would have to come up with something convincing as Genoa do not plan on letting any of their best players go in January.

The publication adds that it would not come as a surprise if Spurs make ‘concrete’ offers for Dragusin, with the Lilywhites having ‘constantly followed’ his performances this season.

Spurs Web Opinion

Genoa may perhaps find offers around the £30m mark too tempting to turn down for Dragusin. Having said that, the centre-back is contracted to the club until 2027 and the Italian club might feel that his value is going to shoot up even further by next summer.

Additionally, the 21-year-old is unlikely to push for a move, given that he only made a permanent switch to Genoa last summer and he might prioritise continuity ahead of the Euros.
