Journalist Patrick Berger has revealed that Borussia Dortmund have already reached out to Tottenham regarding a January move for Sergio Reguilon.
It came as a surprise to many when Man Utd signed Reguilon on loan towards the end of the summer window but the Spaniard has given a decent account of himself at Old Trafford so far.
The left-back has served as a competent understudy to Luke Shaw but it remains to be seen if the Tottenham man’s stay at Manchester will be extended.
Erik Ten Hag revealed last week that Spurs could call off the loan move in January and that the Red Devils would have to negotiate with the Lilywhites regarding extending the player’s stay at the club (Fabrizio Romano).
A couple of days ago, it was revealed by Sky Germany (as relayed by Fussball Transfers) that Reguilon is also on Dortmund’s radar, with the Bundesliga club said to be keen on adding a reinforcement at left-back next month.

Borussia Dortmund have asked Spurs about Reguilon
Berger has now revealed that the German side are looking at loan options in January and have spoken to Spurs about Reguilon.
He suggested that Dortmund’s efforts to sign the former Real Madrid man could intensify over the coming days.
The journalist told Sky Sport Germany: “The budget is very narrow at five to six million euros. Sebastian Kehl has to be very creative and will most likely be with a loan.
“The Spaniard could become a topic in the next few days if BVB gets in touch. Dortmund has already inquired about the player.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I think Tottenham will allow Reguilon to make the decision on whether he wants to continue his loan spell at Man Utd or if he wants to try his luck elsewhere in the hope of getting more game time.
The North London side’s hope would be that the let-back impresses for the rest of the season and attracts a few suitors next summer.
