Dejan Kulusevski believes that Richarlison will find the back of the net with regularity if his Tottenham teammates create chances for the striker.
Richarlison has looked a completely different player since returning from his groin operation, with the striker admitting last week that he had been playing with pain for quite a while (Daily Mail).
The 26-year-old led the line impressively against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, scoring three times in those two games.
Ange Postecoglou will be delighted that the Brazilian has now found his goalscoring boots, particularly since he will soon be without Son Heung-min, who will travel to play the Asian Cup in Qatar at the end of this month.
The Tottenham head coach lavished praise on Richarlison following his side’s 2-0 win over Forest, describing the striker as a ‘a goalmouth monster’ and revealing that he has been exceptional in training (Sky Sports 15/12/23 at 10:30 pm).
Kulusevski backs Richarlison to continue top form
Kulusevski, who set up the former Everton star’s goal with an inch-perfect cross from the right, believes that his teammate will continue finding the back of the net if he gets chances.
When asked about Tottenham’s first goal at the City Ground, the Swede told BBC Sport: “I cannot do anymore. I just try to give my teammates the chance to score. Richi is a top striker, we give him those balls and he will score them.”
Spurs Web Opinion
From how Ange and the Tottenham players speak about Richarlison, it is clear that the striker is one of the standouts in training and has just struggled to produce that during match days.
The Brazilian would be riding high on confidence after his recent goals, and it now seems we are finally starting to see the real Richarlison at Spurs.
