The Athletic have revealed that Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure is unlikely to be available for the Merseyside club’s trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Tottenham will hope to keep their winning run going and make it three victories on the bounce when they welcome Everton to N17 on Saturday afternoon.

However, the Lilywhites can certainly not afford to take their opponents lightly, with Sean Dyche’s men coming into the game on the back of four league wins in a row.

Spurs are not only without their long-term absentees (Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic) but also have to make do without Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie, who are both suspended for the clash.

In addition, reports over the last few days have indicated that Giovani Lo Celso is an injury doubt to face the Toffees, having already missed the 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Friday evening (The Standard).

Everton to be without injured Doucoure

It appears Everton will also be without one of their key stars, with The Athletic stating that Doucoure is not expected to feature on Saturday.

The publication explains that even though Dyche had previously expressed some optimism about the former Watford man’s chances of facing Spurs, it now seems unlikely that he will recover in time for the clash having picked up a hamstring issue during Saturday’s win at Burnley.

Spurs Web Opinion

As would be expectected of Sean Dyche, Everton are very well organised and quite hard to break down, while also posing a massive threat from crosses and set-pieces. Spurs have to be on their A-game to get three points on Saturday and keep within touching distance of the top four.
