Jamie O’Hara has admitted that he is a big fan of Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, opining that the centre-forward would be an ideal fit for Ange Postecoglou’s set-up at Spurs.
Solanke has been one of the best strikers on show in the Premier League so far this season, with his hattrick against Nottingham Forest on Saturday taking his tally to 11 goals so far this season (Transfermarkt).
The 26-year-old’s displays have been one of the main reasons why the Cherries are currently 10 points clear of the relegation zone and look on course for a mid-table finish.
It was reported by The Sun a couple of days ago that Tottenham are watching Solanke’s performances closely and are plotting a move for him next summer.
The report added that the Lilywhites want to sign a centre-forward to fill the void left by Harry Kane and many at the club have been impressed by the Chelsea academy graduate, and believe that he would shine at a higher level.

Should Spurs move for Dominic Solanke?
That is an opinion that O’Hara shares, with the former Spurs midfielder admitting that he wants to Solanke lead the line for the Lilywhites.
The pundit told talkSPORT (as relayed by TBR Football) about the striker: “I just don’t see how Bournemouth can let him go. They were tipped to go down this season and then all of a sudden, they’ve found some great form and are playing well.
“Look, at the end of the season, if someone comes in for £80 to £90 million, then we’ll let you go and we can rebuild from there with a couple of decent players they can buy.
“But I can’t see how they’d let him go. I’d love him to be at Tottenham. I look at him and think he’s perfect for how we want to play.”
Spurs Web Opinion
One would expect Spurs to sign a centre-forward next summer and it is perhaps too early to speculate on who the Lilywhites might target. However, Solanke would certainly tick a couple of boxes, being mobile, technically good, Premier League experienced and homegrown.
