Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has said there could be a mass exodus from Tottenham in January, naming a list of 10 first-team players who could exit Hotspur Way next month.

Hugo Lloris is referred to in the article as ‘the most obvious’ player to leave in January, with Tottenham said to be keen on getting the Frenchman off their wage bill. In fact, Fabrizio Romano has since given Lloris’ transfer to LAFC his ‘here we go’ seal of approval.

Gold says that Eric Dier’s nine-and-a-half-year stay at the club could come to an end as Ange Postecoglou does not believe the Englishman fits into his system while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could also depart in search of game time.

The journalist surprisingly also names Oliver Skipp among the list, explaining that while the midfielder is unlikely to be loaned out, Spurs may change their mind if Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr return from AFCON swiftly and if Rodrigo Bentancur manages to recover quicker than expected from his injury.

Tottenham could loan out fringe players for minutes

Gold says that Bryan Gil and Alejo Veliz could be loaned out to get more competitive minutes under their belt while adding that Tottenham would be open to selling Ivan Perisic if Hajduk Split show interest in the Croat.

He explains that Ange Postecoglou is expected to take a good look at Ryan Sessegnon over the coming weeks before deciding if he can compete for the left-back spot, or whether the former Fulham man needs to be loaned out.

Finally, Gold says that one of Brandin Austin and Alfie Whiteman could be let go by Spurs, with the other one staying on as the third-choice goalkeeper.

I do not think there is any chance that Spurs would let Skipp leave in January, particularly since Hojbjerg now looks likely to depart. I also think Postecoglou would want to hang on to Gil even if Manor Solomon recovers from his injury within the next couple of weeks.
