According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing their first bid for Radu Dragusin, and have already agreed personal terms with the defender. Meanwhile, Tottenham’s move for Jean-Clair Todibo could be about to fall through.
It is no secret that Tottenham are keen to sign a new centre-back in the January transfer window as a priority (Telegraph).
What is surprising, however, is the efficiency with which Spurs are operating right now. The transfer window hasn’t even opened yet, but the Lilywhites are seemingly close to securing their first target already.
Judging by varying reports, both Jean-Clair Todibo (Fabrizio Romano) and Radu Dragusin (CalcioMercato) are the main options on Tottenham’s radar right now.
However, while Dragusin has admitted he appreciates the interest from Spurs (Sport.ro), there has been a suggestion that Nice may look to keep hold of Todibo until the summer (Football.London).
Tottenham agree personal terms with Radu Dragusin
The whole situation may be close to a resolution now, it seems. As per Fabrizio Romano‘s latest updates, Spurs are ready to submit a bid for Dragusin soon, while the pursuit of Todibo may be over for now as the North London club are keen to bring in a new player as soon as possible.
He tweeted: “Tottenham are prepared to send first verbal bid for Radu Dragusin after talks opened with Genoa, as revealed last night. Dragusin already said yes.
“Todibo deal could collapse soon — as timing with OFC Nice will be slow and Tottenham want new CB to join next week.”
The journalist added later that Spurs have agreed personal terms with Dragusin and are now locked in talks with Genoa over a price for the centre-back.
Understand Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Radu Dragusin on long term contract.
Negotiations ongoing with Genoa as revealed two days ago.

This is very promising indeed, and is hopefully a clear sign that Spurs mean business in this transfer window. If we can get the Dragusin deal wrapped up in the next couple of days, that gives us the rest of the window to arrange deals for a midfielder and a winger.
