Calciomercato.it have claimed that some insiders who have observed Radu Dragusin closely expect the Tottenham target to evolve into an even better player than Cristian Romero.

Like Romero, Dragusin struggled to get much of a look at Juventus and had to prove himself out on loan, with the Argentine shining in his temporary spell at Atalanta before the Bergamo club activated the option to sign him permanently, and with the Romanian doing the same at Genoa.

Could Radu Dragusin become better than Romero?

The outlet explains that the Genoa star’s preference is to move to the Premier League rather than to join another Serie A side

The publication adds that while Genoa would like to keep the centre-back at Stadio Luigi Ferraris until next summer, they are ‘ready to give in’ if they receive an offer of around €25m (£21.7m).

The Dragusin deal certainly appears to be a far easier one for Tottenham to complete than the Jean Clair-Todibo transfer, given the low price involved and the player’s keenness to come to the Premier League.

There are certainly plenty of similarities between the Genoa star and Romero, not just in their career trajectory but also when it comes to their style of play, with the Romanian also being quite aggressive and technically sound.
