According to Sky Sports’ reporter Dharmesh Sheth, Tottenham Hotspur-linked centre-half Lloyd Kelly is attracting interest from both Juventus and AC Milan, and the Bournemouth star is now free to discuss terms for a free transfer come the summer.
Tottenham are working hard to secure the signing of a new centre-back in the January transfer window, and appear to be close to bringing in Genoa defender Radu Dragusin (Fabrizio Romano).
However, just a month ago, the North London side had three names on their shortlist for the winter window, and Dragusin was not one of them. The players reportedly on Spurs’ radar at that time were Jean-Clair Todibo, Marc Guehi, and Lloyd Kelly, according to the Evening Standard.
Lloyd Kelly could move to Italy
Speculation linking Spurs to the latter has cooled of late, but Kelly is still a man in demand. With his current contract expiring at the end of the season, there is a good chance the 25-year-old will not be at the Vitality Stadium much longer.
Now, according to Dharmesh Sheth, a move to Italy could be on the cards for Kelly, with two Serie A giants potentially looking to speak to him this month with a view to lining up a summer switch.
Sheth tweeted: “Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly free to talk to clubs outside England. Concrete interest from Juventus and AC Milan. Tottenham were interested in the summer and continue to keep eye on his situation.
“Staying at Bournemouth not ruled out. Dialogue open over new deal.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I’ve been impressed with Lloyd Kelly this season, and the idea of him joining Spurs is really growing on me the more I watch this Bournemouth side. With him being available on a free transfer, Kelly could be the perfect fourth man to slot into our central defensive roster.
