Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou has named his side which will take to the field in this evening’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham have not kicked a ball in the Premier League for a fortnight and need to dust themselves off and return to winning ways following the disappointing defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Australian is without the services of striker Richarlison who is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks, while Pedro Porro once again misses out with a muscular strain.
Tottenham are on a club league record run of scoring in 37 consecutive matches, since a 1-0 defeat at Wolves on 4 March 2023 (their 26th league fixture of last season). This is the second-longest Premier League scoring streak after 55 by Arsenal between 2001 and 2002.
Tottenham need to win to improve Champions League hopes
Spurs have kept only one clean sheet in their last 16 Premier League matches, a 2-0 victory at Nottingham Forest on 15 December, meaning they have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine successive top-flight home games for the first time since a run of 10 from November 2006 to March 2007 under Martin Jol.
Palace on the other hand, can win consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since last April, when they won their first three league games after reappointing Roy Hodgson as manager.
This is who takes to the field in N17 this afternoon:
Tottenham XI: Vicario; Emerson, Romero, Van De Ven, Udogie; Bissouma, Bentancur, Maddison; Kulusevski, Son, Werner.
Subs: Johnson, Austin, Sarr, Davies, Dragusin, Scarlett, Højbjerg, Lo Celso, Skipp
Crystal Palace XI: Johnstone; Ward, Andersen, Richards; Munoz, Wharton, Lerma, Mitchell; Ayew, Eze; Mateta.
Subs: Ahamada, Hughes, Henderson, Clyne, Tomkins, Ozoh, Édouard, Plange, Matheus França
