In what comes as a potential blow for Tottenham in their pursuit of Ismail Yuksek, the Fenerbahce midfielder has admitted that he dreams of playing for Manchester United.
Yuksek was a bit of a late bloomer, having a series of loan spells in his early 20s before finally establishing himself as a regular in Fenerbahce’s starting eleven last season.
However, the versatile midfielder has come on leaps and bounds over the last 18 months and is now widely recognized as one of the most consistent performers in the Super Lig, having become a regular for the Turkish national side.
It emerged recently that the 25-year-old had emerged as a target for Tottenham, with Fotomac even revealing that scouts from the North London club watched the midfielder in action in Fenerbahce’s Conference League win over Union Saint-Gilloise.
The report claimed that the Premier League club will assess Yuksek over the coming months before making a decision on whether to push ahead with an offer from him.

However, the player himself has now revealed that his wish is to don the Man Utd jersey one day.
Yuksek told Fotomac (via Sport Witness): “The club I would like to go to in Europe is Manchester United, my childhood dream.”

There is really nothing concrete to suggest that either Tottenham or Man Utd are seriously considering a move for Yuksek in the summer.
However, if the 25-year-old shines for Tukey at the Euros, a number of clubs from the Premier League could potentially be queuing up to sign him.
