Tottenham reveal second Championship loan for Yang Min-hyeok after Heung-min Son advice

Tottenham have sanctioned a second loan spell for South Korean starlet Yang Min-hyeok, with the youngster set for another stint in the Championship just months after arriving in North London.

It was revealed a few days back that Tottenham Hotspur were working on a few loan deals for some of their youngsters who made a trip to South Korea for their pre-season tour.

Spurs have now returned from Asia and will be turning their attention to their friendly tie against Bayern Munich before their first competitive game in the UEFA Super Cup.

It has been revealed that one of the youngsters who joined Tottenham during the winter window last season is close to securing a loan move for the second time in his Spurs career.

Tottenham agree Portsmouth loan for Yang Min-Hyeok

This report comes from Chris Wise of BBC Sport, who reports that Tottenham have agreed on a loan deal with Portsmouth for Korean youngster Yang.

It is understood that a return to the Championship with Portsmouth should be completed in the next 24 hours for the winger, who is also capable of playing down the middle.

The 19-year-old teenager only joined Tottenham last season in January from K League side Gangwon FC, and was loaned a few days later to second division side QPR.

The teenager managed two goals and an assist in 14 Championship games in what was his first spell in English football.

Heung-min Son recently gave Yang some parting words of advice before swapping Tottenham for LAFC. He said: “I’m very proud to see Yang fight for a position in the squad. As for tips, I’d like to see Yang experience things on the field and not think too much or too hard. Just focus on what’s in front of him.”

Spurs continue to send youngsters out on loan

Yang Min-Hyeok would now join several other Tottenham youngsters out on loan, including Mikey Moore, who has joined Scottish side Rangers.

Ashley Phillips also secured another loan to the Championship, once again joining Stoke City. Meanwhile, Devine and Lankshear have also been loaned out, while Luka Vuskovic continues to attract interest from several sides across Europe.

A move to the Championship is sure to benefit Yang, who is still getting used to the demands of English football after joining just six months ago.
