Tottenham youngster Luka Vuskovic has just revealed something very interesting about his decision to join Hamburg on loan.
This is the 18-year-old’s first taste of football in a top-five league, but one would not be able to make that out from how seamlessly he has slotted into the Bundesliga side’s backline.
Vuskovic has been getting rave reviews after his impressive start to his loan spell at Hamburg, and Tottenham fans are already dreaming of what he can do in a Spurs shirt in the years to come.
Following his move to Germany, Vuskovic revealed that Tottenham were happy for him to stay at the club this season, but he decided to go out on loan in order to play regularly, and he has now made another interesting revelation.

Usually, it would fall on the parent club to find their young players the right loan move, but in the centre-back’s case, it turns out he was the one who picked Hamburg.
The Croat revealed that he spoke to the German club as soon as they won promotion to the Bundesliga at the end of last season regarding a temporary switch.
Speaking about his switch to HSV, the Tottenham Hotspur loanee told Hamburger Morgenpost (as relayed by Sport Witness): “I contacted them as soon as they had secured promotion back to the Bundesliga, we agreed on everything, and in the end, it worked out well.”
Vuskovic admits he has one big desire at Hamburg
The Tottenham man’s older brother, Mario, is at Hamburg, and he is currently serving a doping ban until November 2026.
Vuskovic admitted that he really appreciates how HSV have supported his brother and confessed that he hopes to play alongside him one day. He even added that he would like to stay at Hamburg for another season, which may not be a popular idea among Spurs fans.
The teenager said about Mario’s situation: “I really appreciate this club and the fans because they helped. I don’t know which other club would have supported him so much.
“I would like to play with him one day. I hope that works out. I would like to stay at HSV for another season and play with my brother.”
