EX The Talk host Sharon Osbourne is getting ready to tell all about her show exit and racism allegations in an interview on Real Time With Bill Maher.
The 68-year-old TV personality quit the show after her on-air fight with co-host Sheryl Underwood, 58, last month.
Sharon Osbourne is doing a tell-all interview on Friday[/caption]The interview, set to air on Friday, will be Sharon’s first since departing The Talk after 11 seasons.
The CBS talk show returned with a new episode on Monday after a month-long hiatus due to accusations of racism made against Sharon.
Sharon received backlash for “racially insensitive” comments she made while defending Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle.
When The Talk returned on Monday, host Sheryl broke down in tears and said she has “PSTD” from her battle with Sharon.
She’ll sit down for HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher[/caption] This will be Sharon’s first interview since leaving The Talk[/caption]She told viewers: “It’s time for an episode of the Talk that is unlike any other we’ve had before.
“We haven’t been together in the studio since the week of March 10. During our break, Sharon decided to leave The Talk.
The host continued: “We need to process the events of that day and what’s happened since so we can get to the healing.
Sharon quit after she had an explosive on-air argument with co-host Sheryl Underwood[/caption] Sharon received backlash from her co-host and viewers for “racially insensitive” comments she made while defending Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle[/caption]“We will honestly discuss what occurred and will explore some of our feelings. We want everyone to feel empowered and ready to move forward.”
Socio-cultural analyst Dr. Donald E Grant then joined the ladies on stage to discuss how they could make the show – and the country – a safe space to discuss race issues without the tension escalating as it did with Sharon.
The Talk went on hiatus for a month, during which an investigation was done and Sharon quit the show[/caption] The show returned on Monday, and Sheryl said she has ‘trauma’ from her on-air incident with Sharon[/caption]When Dr Grant asked Sheryl how she felt coming back for the first time after the show’s hiatus, she told him: “I’m nervous but I’m ready.
“It’s a safe space right now,” she added as she looked around the room at her co-hosts – Amanda Kloots, Elaine Welteroth, and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Dr. Grant applauded Sheryl for her self-control during the talk with Sharon, and she responded: “I didn’t want to escalate things with Sharon because I thought I was having a conversation with a friend.

“But also I feel I had to be an example for others to follow because I didn’t want to be perceived as the angry Black woman. That really scared me, I didn’t want to be that.
“I wanted to remain calm and focused. I just feel the trauma. I feel fearful and apprehensive.
“It is difficult to go back to that day because I feel the trauma. That really scared me.”
