RICHARD Madeley has been left red-faced after accidentally gatecrashing the set of Ricky Gervais’ After Life.
Filming for the Netflix series was underway in a one-way cobbled street when Richard suddenly appeared in his convertible VW Beetle.

Onlookers say he then parked up his motor and attempted to get a table at a restaurant, thinking it was open for business.
He was swiftly told to leave by security guards on set.
Unfortunately for Richard, who has past experience when it comes to making blunders, the entire awkward incident was caught on camera.

Earlier this week, The Sun exclusively revealed that the former This Morning host is apparently being lined up for a trial-run in June.
An ITV insider said: “Piers is nigh-on impossible to replace and GMB execs accept this, but Richard has his own inimitable style.
“Like Piers, he’s a trained journalist who knows how to press guests and get a decent ‘line’ from interviewees.

Richard has previously stood in for Piers, who quit last month after refusing to apologise for comments he made about Meghan Markle.
He polls well with viewers and has revealed he would be interested in the job if it is offered.
The dad-of-two has said he would be “bonkers’ not to consider any job offer from GMB chiefs, who have seen viewing figures tank since Piers left.

But he added: “I very much like sitting in for people. I have all the fun and very little of the responsibility or flak.”
Richard, who is married to his former co-host Judy Finnigan, did raise eyebrows on GMB in 2018 by cutting off then-defence secretary Gavin Williamson for “failing to answer a straight question”.
The clip was the TV journalistic moment of the year at the Edinburgh Festival.
