MAGA congressman claims cops ‘EXECUTED’ Capitol riot victim Ashli Babbitt as she stormed Congress wrapped in flag
REP Paul Gosar has claimed Ashli Babbitt was “executed” by police as she tried to break into the House chamber during the January 6 riot at the US Capitol.
Babbitt was one of four people who died while storming the Capitol in opposition to the electoral college certification of the 2020 presidential election amid claims by Trump the election was stolen.

At a House hearing on Wednesday regarding the Capitol attack, Gosar questioned former acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen about the Department of Justice’s response to the attack.
Babbitt was shot in the neck by a Capitol police officer as she tried to climb through a barricaded door within the Capitol.
On Wednesday, Gosar asked Rosen for the name of the officer who killed Babbitt, who he called “a young lady, a veteran, wrapped in an American flag that was killed in the U.S. Capitol.”

The officer’s name has not been revealed.
Babbitt was wearing a Trump flag, according to the Washington Post.
Video footage appears to show her wearing a Trump 2020 flag draped around her neck.
The MAGA Republican from Arizona accused the DOJ of “harassing peaceful patriots across the country.”

Babbitt received medical assistance after being shot, but she later died at the hospital. She was from San Diego, California who served 14 years in the Air Force.
Gosar was one of the lawmakers who contested the election results in January. Some called his comments on Wednesday an “unequivocal defense” of the attack.
